LABORATORIES

Physics Lab

The Physics Lab is well equipped with all scientific instruments dealing with all modern Mechanics, Thermo, Optics, Electro current & Modern Physics, approved by ISO. These are used for practicals conducted by students of classes XI & XII. It has display of a variety of projects made by the students on various topics. The Lab Assistant manages all equipments and students are issued the apparatus on requirement.

Chemistry Lab

The school has a fully equipped chemistry lab with all the safety equipments and apparatus required for conducting the experiments. Regular check up of the gas pipeline, drainage, disposal system is done to ensure the safety of all. Lab is designed in such a way that 30-50 students can do the experiments individually at a time.

Biology Lab

The biology lab of the school is fully equipped with all materials required for the practicals and investigatory projects to be performed by the students studying biology in classes XI & XII. At a time 25 – 30 students can work comfortably in the lab. The lab is displayed with beautiful prepared charts and models showing different aspects of the living world.

Geography Lab

The geography lab is well equipped with the latest maps and models, weather instruments and charts to deal with the practical aspect of the subject. To create interest in the subject the lab has, on display, a variety of rocks and minerals.

Home Science Lab

We have a well furnished home science laboratory for sr. secondary school students. The lab has different works centers   for conducting various activities like preparing and serving meals, selecting and constructing clothes, laundering, home furnishing and home care, planning and discussion by small groups, special activities such as flower arrangement, floor decoration, handicrafts teachers place and cupboards for books and displaying articles made by students. The lab has provision where 35 to 50 students can work at a time. The school also provides different articles, equipments, utility services, work surfaces, safe and sanitary storage space for efficient running of the practical work.

Psychology Lab

Students study cases and make projects to analyse and judge a personality. Projects like :-

* Dream Analysis
* Body Language
* Personality Development

are taken up for judging personality more effectively.
The atmosphere of lab gives greater chances of interaction amongst students and teacher. This provides students with first hand experience of dealing with tests like Intelligence Tests, Aptitude Tests, Stress Test, Anxiety Test, Adjustment’s Tests. This builds up their interest in the subject.

COMPUTER LAB

We have switched over from Disk Operating System to Windows. At D.A.V we have one of the best facilities for imparting computer education to students from class I to XII. It has at present 8 computer laboratories having more than 250 computers, the majority being Dual Core/Corei3 based  to impart computer education to student of classes I to V, a new multimedia centre has been developed to keep the children abreast of the latest happenings in the computer world. We have the computers with   160Gb/500Gb hard disk and  3GHz speed . All these computers are networked  for resource sharing. Major emphasis is on beautiful graphics and sound effects  blending education and fun.
